ASRC Construction Holding Company (ACHC) offers construction services to commercial and government clients in Alaska. ACHC is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Arctic Slope Regional Corporation (ASRC), the largest of Alaska’s 13 Native Regional Corporations. ASRC is the Native Regional Corporation for the Arctic Slope of Alaska, a region which encompasses vast natural resources. Including the North Slope oil fields, the National Petroleum Reserve-Alaska, and the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. Formed in 1971 under the terms of the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act, ASRC is a private, for-profit corporation that manages five million acres of land and the business interests of its Inupiat Shareholders.
ASRC is the largest Alaska-owned and operated company and one of the largest minority owned companies in the United States. ASRC’s annual revenues reached 1.6 billion dollars in 2005, and the total work force exceeds 6,600 employees. In late 2005, ASRC reorganized its construction segment under the ASRC Construction Holding Company (ACHC). ACHC focuses on Alaska and select lower 48 markets, including U. S. government construction work.
ACHC, as a holding company, offers improved operational efficiency and control of general and administrative expenses. ACHC oversees and supports the following ASRC subsidiaries:
